Immigration in the United States

Join the Library for the annual Gstalder Memorial Lecture on April 6. This year’s lecture features Georgetown’s 2017 John Thompson Jr. Legacy of a Dream Award Recipient Abel Enrique Núñez. Núñez, the Executive Director of the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN), will be discussing the state of immigration in the U.S.

Núñez was honored by Georgetown University earlier this year for his service to the D.C. area’s Latino population. His organization, CARECEN provides a range of integral services for this community, including immigration legal services, community support services, housing services, and assistance navigating the naturalization process to become a U.S. citizen. The Library is honored to have him come back to the Hilltop to discuss this important work and the state of immigration more widely.

Immigration in the United States will be held on April 6 at 6:00pm in the Murray Room on the fifth floor of Lauinger Library. To learn more about the event and to RSVP please visit our event page.
