Submit an Item Returned/Not Checked Out Claim

Due to reduced on site presence, searches are not being conducted within the standard 2 week turn around.

If this submission is in regards to items returned since Lauinger Library's closure, please note that items are being processed on a delay as a part of the safety precautions currently in place.

Items are being auto-renewed at this time and you will not receive overdue notices

If you find that an item from Georgetown University is still on your HoyaSearch account which you believe you have returned or never checked out, please file a claim using the form at the bottom of this page. After submitting your claim, we ask that you search once more in your office, car, home, study carrel, etc. for the item.

The Print Collections Unit will begin a series of in depth searches over the next 2 weeks, the results of which you will be emailed if the item is not found in the 2 weeks. In the meantime, please search your office, car, home, study carrel, etc. for the item in case it was overlooked in a previous search. Items that are Returned/Not Checked Out claimed must remain on your account throughout the search process and you will receive automatic overdue notices if the items are overdue.

If you need to submit a claim for an item you requested through Interlibrary Loan or materials or any equipment from Access Services, please contact those departments directly. You may use this form for items requested via the Washington Research Library Consortium (WRLC).
