Requesting Materials from the Georgetown University in Qatar Library

Before requesting an item held in Qatar please check to see if the item is available ("not charged" status) from one of the WRLC libraries.

If the item is not available from a WRLC library but the library has a copy that is checked out, you must place a recall on that copy. If the user has had the item for over a month regardless of the due date, they have 7 days to return the book before being assessed a recall fine of $5 per day per item. If the item is only available from the Qatar Library, place a hold through HoyaSearch by clicking on the "Request" button and the library will try to rush order a copy for the collection or request Qatar send their copy. If the item is available from a WRLC school, your request from Qatar will be canceled.

Note: Due to distance, materials can take up to 10 days to arrive.

If you have any questions, please call the Lauinger Circulation desk at 202-687-7607 or accessservices@georgetown.edu.
