Carlos Romulo in DC

For this project I really wanted to explore using creative digital tools for a historical project. Using newspaper archives, memoirs, and other governmental records I mapped out DC locations visited by Carlos Romulo during WWII. My family has many personal ties to the Philippines, it’s where my father spent much of his adolescence, and I was happy to have the opportunity to highlight one aspect of the importance of the Philippines and Filipino-American relations during the war period.

The following library resources were used for this project: Chronicling America; JSTOR; and The Hoya Archives.
