Watering Whole is a small, self-published book of poetry by Jan Menafee and supported by Noah Martin. The poems center around Jan's personal and cultural relationships with water as a young Black person in the US. Using the Maker Hub, we digitally designed the book's layout, cut the paper and laminate cover layers, and printed over 100 copies of Watering Whole. The process of not only writing, but also printing and binding this book of poetry completely by hand taught me the importance and joys of craftsmanship.
