CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: The library is closed effective Tuesday, March 24th. Continuing services will include: access to online materials; reference, class or research consultations; and assistance with securing expanded online access to curriculum-based and/or research materials. For more information see the Georgetown Libraries COVID-19 Updates and Resources page and the Library's COVID-19 FAQ.
The library has several lounges for undergraduate and graduate students. These areas are available for use whenever the library is open. If group study rooms are not available, there are tables in the lounges where discussions can take place.
There are two Graduate Study Lounges in Lauinger, located on the first and fourth floors. These rooms are designated quiet with laptop use permitted and are solely for Graduate Students. The fourth floor Graduate Study Lounge is designated for Main Campus Graduate Students only. GOCard swipe is required for entrance.
Most of the second floor is also a study lounge. The Midnight Mug is located here, and the second floor is the only location in the library where food is allowed.
